The Stubben Steeltec 2242 Pelham with a single jointed rubber cover is designed to provide a gentle yet effective sensitive aid for the horse. This Pelham allows for easier communication between the horse and rider, with a mouthpiece thickness of only 16mm – thinner than most commercial rubber bits which are typically 20mm or more. This thinner mouthpiece reduces the chance of rubbing and promotes a comfortable fit in the horse’s mouth. It is important to note that rubber covered bits may not be suitable for horses that tend to chew on the bit with their teeth, as this can cause damage to the rubber cover.
